Kindness Matters

Welcome! Today is World Kindness Day, a day designed to remind all of us that kindness is, indeed, contagious. We’ve seen it in action: A single random act of kindness can spark a cascade of goodwill – setting in motion a chain of positive events. In schools, kindness can be a transformational force for good; improving classroom environments, easing moments of stress, creating and reinforcing friendships, and giving students opportunities to be positive role models.

As we celebrate kindness around the world today, plan to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge School Edition, January 26-30, 2015 – sign up at Truly, kindness begets kindness. So far this year, the Great Kindness Challenge reports 554,486 students have inspired 27,724,300 acts of kindness – and growing!

When kindness prevails, everyone wins. As Nobel Prize winning author Isaac Bashevis Singer once said, “Kindness, I’ve discovered, is everything in life.”

Have a wonderful – and kind – day!
