Future Ready Schools and McGraw-Hill Education Helping to Further the Digital Education Conversion

Our School President, Christine Willig had the opportunity to sit down with former Governor and President of the Alliance for Excellent Education, Bob Wise to discuss district digital conversion and the importance of digital learning. In the ever evolving world of education, district leaders must be ready to adapt to new curriculums with an increased focus on digital learning. Education can be made more effective and efficient by leveraging technology. The primary aim of using technology in education must be to help teachers advance instruction and learning practices in order to better prepare children for the future.

While there is much research backing the positive impact digital learning has on students, the actual conversion from print to digital comes with challenges. Luckily, our partnership with the Alliance for Excellent Education’s Future Ready Schools initiative is there to support those districts who are ready to make a commitment to digital teaching strategies. Professional guidance for district leaders, best practices that are scalable for each individual school, and a network of aligned district leadership teams that’ll help educators promote digital conversion in their classrooms are just a few of the resources that this partnership can provide digitally-minded schools.

“Our participation in Future Ready Schools is going to be a great way for us to enter in deep dialogue with districts on what it truly means to shift to a digital paradigm,” Willig said. “We welcome the chance to partner with districts on ramifications and implications of such a shift, and we want to help make the transition smoother with our expertise and solutions.”
